Jean-Pierre Barral, Osteopath D.O., ist der Begründer und international führende Vertreter der Viszeralen Osteopathie und kann auf über 30 Jahre praktische Erfahrung zurückblicken. Er leitet die Abteilung Viszerale Manipulation der medizinischen Fakultät in Paris du Nord und ist Direktor des Collège International d'Ostéopathie in Saint Etienne. Neben seiner weltweiten Tätigkeit als Dozent praktiziert Jean-Pierre Barral in einer eigenen Praxis in Grenoble.

Advanced visceral manipulation

This advanced course follows the basic visceral manipulation courses. Barral has developed a new perspective on visceral manipulation, adding to the traditional movements of mobility and motility, the viscoelastic dimensions of the organ itself. This allows practicioners to have a greater awareness of the conditions of the organs themselves, and take corrective action.
Barral includes vascularization of the organ by specifically diagnosing the arterial supply and will teach new ways of enhancing the organs’ vitality.
This leads to better understanding of visceral relationships, and completes the practitioners skills to treat the visceral system efficiently.

The treatment of cranial nerves

Somewhat independently of the traditional craniosacral method, Barral has developed new concepts for the treatment of the cranium. While the traditional approach mainly focuses on the dysfunctions of the bony, membranous and fluidic components of the craniosacral system, Barrals focus leads in another direction:
He is investigating the possibility of treatment of the brain and cranial nerves. This course is the consequent evolution of visceral manipulation expanding into the cranio –sacral field. It is especially interesting for colleagues interested in improving their cranial technique.
