Alain Croibier, ist Osteopath und arbeitet in einer eigenen Praxis in der Nähe von Grenoble/Frankreich. Er unterrichtet "Viszerale Manipulation" und "Osteopathische Diagnose" an der A.T. Still Academy, Lyon, Frankreich. Außerdem ist er Gastdozent am Centre Ostéopathique du Québec, Montréal, Kanada, an der Still Academy Deutschland, Münster, Deutschland sowie am Upledger Institute, West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. Zusammen mit Jean-Pierre Barral hat er das Buch Manipulation peripherer Nervenverfasst.

The front part of the neck – Special diagnostics and treatment of the ventral part of the neck

Alain Croibier has done extensive practical research with Jean-Pierre Barral concerning the effect of mechanical trauma. Within this context Croibier has arrived at a new evaluation of the significance of the front part of the neck. This new view on the neck has not only consequences for the treatment of whiplash, it leads to new perspectives how to treat the neck in general. Croibier will teach diagnosis and treatment of the different layers of the ventral part of the neck.
He will include the connections into the cranial system and into the visceral system of the upper thorax, especially to the retrosternal structures.

The treatment of mechanically caused trauma especially whiplash

Together with Jean-Pierre Barral Alain Croibier has written a remarkable book about the manual treatment of trauma (Eastland Press, Seattle).
The book offers a completely new look on trauma and explains new techniques. Based on the book Croibier will analyse trauma from two perspectives: He will evaluate it from the perspective of the viscero- mechanical approach and from the perspective of new techniques for treating the dura mater spinalis and the cranial membranes. Each technique will be presented within the context of a detailed anatomical introduction and step by step testing.
