Fascia and membrane technique: New approaches for the treatment of the extremities
We will start this course with the instigation of the fascia of muscles, the intermuscular septa, the interosseous membranes and the relevant ligaments. This investigations respect the three dimensional connections of the fascial net. We will learn to appreciate the crossroads, that connect the different types of tissues. After that we will experiment practically with these techniques, that have shown best results in practice.
We will test the applications for:
Dysfunctions of shoulder and arms, epicondilytis, and carpal tunnel syndrome; we will include dysfunctions of the hip joint, of the knee and the ankle joints.
The latest findings from fascia research have recently proven that treating the septa is an essential part of manual technique and has good prospects of success in treating the fascia system. We will learn to sense the ‘seams’ where different types of tissue connect with each other. We will then explore the techniques that have proven to be most effective in practice. Areas of application: shoulder-arm syndrome, epicondylitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dysfunctions of the hip joint, knee joint and ankle joint.
This course offers a symbiosis of traditional and the latest techniques from fascia treatment in combination with osteopathic approaches to modern joint treatment. Aspects of neuromuscular work are also discussed in this course.
